A lot of people and companies offer free estimations. Sure, that sounds like a great thing to do and while we do it as well, it isn’t exactly being as transparent as you might think it is. An estimation of a project is merely a guess, especially for the general contractor. A painter could pretty easily come survey your property and give you an exact estimation of what the price is going to be. Now I’m not knocking any painters out there, its just more cut and dry for the most part. A general contractor when giving an estimation for a remodel probably doesn’t know all the details the project entails yet. You can have him come to your property and give you a price based on what you tell him you want done but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Here at Sunshine Design and Build we have our 3 phase process, the first phase being the design phase. This is where we really nail down on all of the big and little details of your project. Here, we can give you a spot on price for your project without having to worry about giving you an estimation and then the final price being more than your budget allows.
